Shrewsbury Community Sauna CIC is creating an affordable community sauna focused on wellbeing, connection and inclusion. We are building a welcoming third space just 2 minutes from Frankwell (SY3) which puts community at its core. A place where people can improve their physical and mental wellbeing while connecting with others. The project has secured the maximum National Lottery funding as well as private investment. The final funds needed to be able to open our doors will come from crowdfunding, so if you can, please support us by buying sauna sessions in advance now or donating.

As a Community Interest Company (CIC) any profits will be fed back into the project and space, for example to improve facilities or offer more sessions to those who would benefit from it for health purposes (such as social prescribing).

We’re affiliated with the Community Sauna Network which allows us to draw on their proven models and expertise.

The CIC was set up by Alex Wakeley who lives in Shrewsbury and wanted to give something back to the community by founding the community sauna which will be the first of its kind in Shropshire.
